Who won between seth rollins and roman reigns:

During the first match for the Universal Championship against Seth Rollins at the 2022 Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns was kicked out. The Dome at America’s Center was so angry about the result that they started chanting, “Roman sucks!” In the aftermath, Reigns killed Rollins by using a steel chair to smash his former Shield teammates.

Rollins walked through the crowd and into The Dome at America’s Center as the classic Shield theme song played. He was wearing his old Shield tactical gear. The story of the match became like Batman and the Joker when Rollins laughed at Reigns’ offense, which made the Universal champion very upset.

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns’ ongoing fight made it possible for at least one of the world champions to lose at the Royal Rumble. Even though both Lesnar and Reigns were favorites to win their matches, they were also among the top five favorites to win the Royal Rumble in 2022. This meant that both bettors and fans thought one of them would lose, only for the champion who lost to come back in the Royal Rumble and win.

WWE showed fans a match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns that could have been a WrestleMania match. On January 7, 2022, in SmackDown, a fight between Reigns and Lesnar seemed to confirm that WWE’s biggest feud would end in a WrestleMania match for all the marbles. The hopes, however, were dashed by what was said backstage.

Before the Royal Rumble, Roman Reigns had held the Universal Championship for a record 516 days. Rollins is a top star, but he was a surprising choice to take the title away from Reigns. After Rollins became the top contender for the WWE Championship, it looked like Big E would beat him on Day 1. Even after the match turned into a Fatal 4-Way, Big E was still the favorite at -138 to keep his title.

In fact, Brock Lesnar crashed this match to become WWE champion for the sixth time, and Seth Rollins was supposed to win the title before plans were changed.

With WWE thinking of Rollins as the champion and Roman Reigns getting messed over by Brock Lesnar, Rollins suddenly seemed like a real threat to Reigns’ sense of invincibility, even though his “revolutionary” character is often criticized.

The fight between Reigns and Rollins doesn’t seem to be over yet, and with the Elimination Chamber coming up in Saudi Arabia, a rematch could happen soon.
