After the 1.3 Update, there is a lot going on in Genshin Impact right now. You can pull Xiao! You can go on quests with a new guy who is blonde. There’s a new Geo T-Rex you can fight! One event has a lot of great rewards, but some players don’t seem to understand it.
That would be the Five Flushes of Fortune event, where you are asked to take pictures with a special camera.
Why is it so hard to understand?
Well, you got the camera, and today is “red” day. Your camera will only focus on and automatically take pictures of red things on the map (actual, lootable items, not just like a red building or a sunset or a fire slime). But to finish the day’s task, it looks like you need to take one photo with different colors, which I think are red, blue, gold, brown, and purple.
What the event doesn’t tell you at all is the following: It doesn’t really matter what red things you shoot, and they have nothing to do with these five rectangles to finish the day.
Here is a list of things you can shoot that are red:
Valberries, Apples, and Fire Flowers
Silk Flowers Sunsettia Jueyun Chilis
And I might have forgotten a couple more. But what isn’t clear from the event is that you can shoot any ten red items to finish the day’s challenge. In fact, you can go up to a bush of Jueyen chilis in Qincin Village and shoot each one individually.
This should give you a few different “rectangle” colors. It’s hard to understand because you’d think that whatever you’re taking a picture of would be the same color, but that’s not how it works. You only have to take ten photos of things that people have “searched for” that day. I think there will then be a day that is yellow, then a day that is blue, and so on.
Once you’ve taken your ten pictures, you should have enough to give to the photo guy in the harbor in exchange for an event package. If you do this every day, you could win some pretty big prizes. I’ve been very confused about this all day, and I thought I’d run out of film before I could figure it out, but that’s not how it works. And the extra photos you take carry over to the next day, so you may not need to take as many pictures in the future.
This is a lot easier than it looks. In fact, it’s very simple. It’s just not explained well (or at all), so I thought I’d add my two cents.
